A River Runs Through It



The Little Pigeon River in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of my favorite places, especially in the fall. It reminds me that I don’t have to be big to have an impact. I just have to persevere and be willing to adapt, at times being still. As a child, I spent many summers having a picnic on the big rocks, while being fascinated that it was the small, sometimes unnoticeable, jagged rocks that created the biggest ripples. That fact remains true today as an adult. 


Let’s Talk Turkey


These two wild turkeys were spotted in a private meeting near the Sugarlands Visitor Center in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Photo was taken with Nikon D3100, 70-300 lens.
